Just a fun page to show the variety of ears Mini Nubians can have!

Mini Nubian ears come in a wide variety of shapes and lengths from cute airplane ears to long, regal ears and everything in between. Airplane ears and 2/3 drop ears are perfectly acceptable in the lower generations but ideally higher generations should have more traditional Nubian ears. But this is not always the case. Some lower gens have amazing ears, especially if they are high percentage Nubian, while some higher gens have less than ideal ears. Also, Mini Nubians can have “ear control”, the ability to move their ears up and down like a rabbit, to some degree, while still having excellent ears. Ear control is not a fault, it’s just a cute and quirky part of some Mini Nubians! (And standard Nubians, too.) Of course we all love long, beautiful ears but remember, ears alone do not a quality goat make! Don’t sacrifice other important things like conformation, nice udders and milk production just for the sake of long ears! Some of the best quality and most productive dairy goats are those airplane eared, lower generation goats!

"Above the arch there was a lamp, and beneath it swung a large signboard: a fat white pony reared up on its hind legs. Over the door was painted in white letters:
The Prancing Pony by Barliman Butterbur."
