This puts you into our Customer Management Software (CRM) and gives us more detailed information about your family and your needs and desires for a Maremma. It also gives us your contact info for registration paperwork, the microchip, and other paperwork for your dog. |
Step 2Once you are in our CRM, we will send you info on our breeding program and available Maremmas.
We will also answer any questions you have and help you decide if one of our Maremmas is right for you. You can also schedule a phone call if you like directly through this form. |
Step 3When you're ready to reserve your pup, you will pay the non-refundable reservation fee.
Then, we will guide you through the rest of the process, including the puppy contract and health guarantee, shipping or pick-up arrangements, medical records, preparing for your puppy, and ongoing support after you take home your Prancing Pony Farm Maremma. |

How Much Does a Puppy Cost?Our Maremma puppies are $3000 for MSCA limited registration (no breeding rights) puppies picked up between 12 & 16 weeks. Puppies over 16 weeks, juvenile and adult dogs are priced according to the amount of training they have had.
We require a $500 non-refundable reservation fee to hold a spot on our waiting list for an upcoming litter or to reserve puppies not ready to go home. The final payment is due at 12 weeks of age. We require full payment to hold adult dogs or pups beyond 12 weeks. We do not give multi-dog discounts. All payments are made through GoodDog's secure payment system. You can click the link below to read our full sales policy and how to pay on GoodDog. *Occasionally we have "adoptable" dogs and puppies available at a special rate due to special needs or circumstances. If you're interested in such a dog let us know and we will let you know if we have any available at the moment. |
How Does Selection Work?First, you will fill out our Maremma Info Contact Form, which puts you into our CRM so we can send you information about our program and available Maremmas.
Once you are in the CRM, we will send you our puppy application to fill out. This differs from the contact form and gives us more detailed information about your family and your needs and desires for a Maremma. You will pay the non-refundable reservation fee when you are ready to reserve a currently available Maremma or a puppy from an upcoming litter. Our Maremmas are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, based on when the reservation fee is paid. No Maremma can be held without a paid reservation. Puppies are ready to be picked up at 12 weeks of age. We will use the information in your puppy application and ongoing discussions about your needs and the knowledge we gain in observing and training our puppies to match you with the perfect Maremma for you! |

Puppy Training & Socialization Program
Our in-depth and comprehensive puppy socialization and training program takes advantage of the puppies' critical socialization periods. Pups are socialized extensively with livestock and introduced to various people and experiences. Our unique program prepares our puppies for life as LGDs, companion dogs or both.

MSCA or UKC Registration
Pups come with paperwork for registration with the Maremma Sheepdog Club of America and/or the United Kennel Club. Once registered, you will receive a pedigree for your dog.
We will also supply medical records for your Maremma. |
Puppy Contract
Our contract outlines what we will do for you as your breeder and our expectations of you as the owner of your puppy.

24-Month Genetic Health Guarantee
We will either replace your dog or help you if there is a genetic health issue.

Microchipping
Prepaid microchip registered to you with lifetime enrollment in the Petlink pet recovery system. We are also the guardian of the account. If your dog is lost and you can't be located, we will be contacted and can help get your dog back home.

Vaccinations
Pups are on an age-appropriate vaccine schedule, starting at six weeks. Rabies vaccine not included.

Parasite Prevention
Pups are on a regular parasite prevention program starting at 2 weeks old.

Trupanion Health Insurance
Pups come with a breeder code for 30 days of free health insurance through Trupanion.

Lifetime Breeder Support
*We are ALWAYS available for any questions or concerns you have about your dog. You can reach us by phone, text, or email. If at any time you can no longer keep your dog we will take them back.

Lifetime Training Support
*We offer free training support and services for as long as you own your dog. We are always here to give advice, share resources and troubleshoot any issues you may have.
